Romanian Prime Minister Călin Popescu Tăriceanu and his Bulgrian counterpart Simeon Saxecoburggotski have signed an agreement to adopt European Union standards in bilateral relations. The neighbours agreed to cooperate on issues of EU integration, NATO, the economy, and the building of transport infrastructure. The two countries will also adopt EU-style border regimes with joint police and customs cooperation and freer movement of people and goods.
