Subsecretary of state in the Romanian Foreign Ministry Bogdan Aurescu said that the new round of negociations with Ukraine on delimiting exclusive economic zones in the Black Sea was unsuccessful. Aurescu added that the failure proved that Bucharest was right to appeal to the International Justice Court in the Hage to settle the dispute.
