The manager general of the Moldovan railway company CFM, Miron Gagauz announced that Moldova would block the circulation of passenger and cargo trains passing through Transnistria, if Ukraine kept its railways open for trains coming from or going to the breakaway region.
In a message delivered to railway operators in Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Estonia, Gagauz warned that Moldova no longer controled the railways in the Transnistrian enclave and assumed no responsibility for operations there.
