Day of National Mourning

The number of Romanians who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in Madrid has risen to 7. The Romanian ambassador in Spain Stelian Oancea said on Saturday that the number might rise still as an eighth person, not identified yet, figured on the list of the dead, and two of the 25 injured Romanians still in hospitals were in a very serious condition.

The Năstase Cabinet declared the 14-th of March a day of national mourning, all local and central institutions being ordered to hoist the Romanian flag at half mast.

The national air company Tarom will fly to Madrid two relatives of any Romanian victim of the attacks committed on Thursday.
