During a visit to Chisinau, Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref said on August 29 that Russia will start reimporting Moldovan wine before the end of this year. Gref did not mention the number of Moldovan wine companies that would be allowed to sell their goods in Russia. Russia's consumer-protection agency, Rospotrebnadzor, has said it will limit the number.
Gref also said he hopes most of the problems in Russia's relations with Moldova will be resolved within the next 18 months. He did not elaborate.
