Moldova’s President Vladimir Voronin, on February 24, accused Romanian authorities of intolerance against the 10 million members of the „ethnic minority of Moldovans”. In an interview with state press agency Moldpres, Voronin said Moldovans in Romania were discriminated against since they were not allowed to register as an ethnic minority. On February 22, President Voronin had met with a delegation of the „Community of Moldovans in Romania”, a hitherto unknown organization.
