Moldova and Georgia agree to cooperate on resolving their respective frozen conflicts

Moldova and Georgia decided on November 13 to cooperate on resolving "frozen conflicts" in the former Soviet Union. An agreement to this effect was reached during a meeting in Chisinau between Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin and Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili. According to Voronin's press service: "The problem of the frozen conflicts may be resolved only by maintaining the territorial integrity of the two countries". The two sides also agreed to "settle other problems together," including "advancing...our countries to Europe."
