Suspect Romanian TRADING COMPANY'S FILES to be declassified

Romania's Supreme Council for National Defense decided on 28 February to declassify the archives of the Dunarea company, a foreign-trade enterprise run by the former communist secret services The archives will be handed over to the National College for the Study of the Securitate Archives (CNSAS). In January junior coalition Humanist Party (PUR) Chairman Dan Voiculescu had said that he would sue the "Financial Times" for libel in connection with an article alleging that he had run a Cyprus-based offshore company with the placet of the secret services in the 1980s.
