Bucharest seems cooperative in current Moldovan energetic crisis

On 6 January Bucharest decided to reactivate the joint Romanian-Moldovan governmental commission after the Moldovan government requested help to cope with its current energetic crisis generated by the stop of electricity deliveries from the Cuciurgan Power Plant near Tiraspol.

According to a Government press release, the cabinet would have to find resources for the aid, as electricity prices in Moldova were lower than in Romania and the Moldovan authorities refused to acknowledge a $32 million debt to Romania for electricity deliveries in the past.
