Prime Minister and leader of ruling Social Democrat Party (PSD) Adrian Nastase announced after the meeting of the PSD Standing Delegation that until the 5th of July, all the leaders of PSD local organizations who had poor results in the recent local elections should submit their resignation from office.
Nastase said that the leaders of local PSD branches whose results in the local elections were below those obtained in 2000 "had the responsibility to resign from office until July 5th 2004. Another measure announced by Adrian Nastase regards the reorganization of the Standing Delegation whose member number will be cut down by two thirds.
