"The Government is trying to intimidate the Opposition"

Theodor Stolojan, leader of the National Liberal Party, said that his party had learned the „referendum lesson” and would take the necessary measures to prevent any frauds at the local elections. Stolojan added that Premier Adrian Năstase tried to intimidate the opposition when menacing with law suits those that spoke of electoral frauds.

Emil Boc, executive president of the Democrat Party, shared Stolojan’s opinion that by hiring a lawyer to sue in court all politicians that accused the authorities of frauding the elections the Government attempted to intimidate the Opposition.
